O que realmente influencia os n\u00edveis de glicose no sangue \u00e9 a qualidade e a quantidade dos alimentos ingeridos ao longo do dia.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo a nutricionista <b>Let\u00edcia Ramalho,<\/b> doutora pelo Laborat\u00f3rio de Cronobiologia e Sono da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), as evid\u00eancias atuais apontam nessa dire\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOs dados mais consistentes mostram que a regula\u00e7\u00e3o da glicose depende muito mais da qualidade e da quantidade da alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o do que do hor\u00e1rio em que ela \u00e9 consumida\u201d, afirma.\n<\/p>\n<h2>Sensibilidade \u00e0 insulina \u00e9 fator decisivo<\/h2>\n<p>Um estudo publicado em 2025 na revista cient\u00edfica Nutrients refor\u00e7a esse entendimento. A pesquisa foi conduzida pela Universidade Aberta da Catalunha, em parceria com institui\u00e7\u00f5es dos Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>O trabalho acompanhou 33 adultos diagnosticados com diabetes ou pr\u00e9-diabetes. Todos seguiram uma dieta padronizada e utilizaram monitor cont\u00ednuo de glicose ao longo de 24 horas.<\/p>\n<p>Os resultados indicaram que a resposta do organismo aos carboidratos varia conforme a sensibilidade individual \u00e0 insulina, e n\u00e3o necessariamente pelo hor\u00e1rio das refei\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Para a endocrinologista Cl\u00e1udia Schimidt, do Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, o estudo evidencia o papel central da resist\u00eancia insul\u00ednica. \u201cA pesquisa mostra que, quando a insulina n\u00e3o age de forma eficiente, a glicose permanece elevada no sangue\u201d, explica.<\/p>\n<h2>O que \u00e9 resist\u00eancia \u00e0 insulina<\/h2>\n<p>A insulina \u00e9 o horm\u00f4nio respons\u00e1vel por permitir que a glicose entre nas c\u00e9lulas e seja usada como fonte de energia. Na resist\u00eancia \u00e0 insulina, esse processo ocorre de forma inadequada.<\/p>\n<p>Como compensa\u00e7\u00e3o, o p\u00e2ncreas passa a produzir mais insulina para tentar manter a glicemia dentro dos valores normais. Com o tempo, esse esfor\u00e7o pode n\u00e3o ser suficiente.<\/p>\n<p>Quando o organismo perde a capacidade de controlar os n\u00edveis de a\u00e7\u00facar no sangue, aumenta o risco de desenvolvimento do diabetes tipo 2. \u201cO pr\u00e9-diabetes costuma ser a primeira etapa desse processo\u201d, observa Schimidt.<\/p>\n<h2>Como identificar o pr\u00e9-diabetes<\/h2>\n<p>O pr\u00e9-diabetes \u00e9 caracterizado por altera\u00e7\u00f5es nos n\u00edveis de glicose, ainda abaixo do patamar considerado diabetes. A condi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 diagnosticada por exames laboratoriais.<\/p>\n<p>A glicemia de jejum indica pr\u00e9-diabetes quando os valores ficam entre 100 e 125 mg\/dl. Outro exame utilizado \u00e9 a hemoglobina glicada, que avalia a m\u00e9dia da glicose no sangue nos \u00faltimos tr\u00eas meses.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com Schimidt, resultados entre 5,7% e 6,4% nesse exame s\u00e3o compat\u00edveis com o pr\u00e9-diabetes.<\/p>\n<h2>Mudan\u00e7as no estilo de vida podem reverter o quadro<\/h2>\n<p>Quando n\u00e3o diagnosticado, o pr\u00e9-diabetes pode evoluir para o diabetes tipo 2, doen\u00e7a associada a complica\u00e7\u00f5es cardiovasculares, renais e oculares.<\/p>\n<p>Por outro lado, a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o precoce permite a revers\u00e3o do quadro por meio de mudan\u00e7as no estilo de vida. A alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o equilibrada atua de forma complementar.<\/p>\n<p>Hortali\u00e7as, frutas e sementes devem fazer parte da rotina alimentar. Dietas mais variadas e coloridas oferecem maior diversidade de nutrientes protetores.<\/p>\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 recomendado reduzir o consumo de gorduras saturadas, presentes principalmente em carnes vermelhas, latic\u00ednios integrais e alimentos como o coco.<\/p>\n<h2>Carboidratos certos fazem diferen\u00e7a<\/h2>\n<p>A escolha do tipo de carboidrato tem impacto direto no controle glic\u00eamico. A orienta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 priorizar fontes ricas em fibras.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOs carboidratos complexos s\u00e3o os mais indicados\u201d, afirma Let\u00edcia Ramalho. Gr\u00e3os integrais como arroz, aveia e trigo, al\u00e9m de massas e p\u00e3es integrais, s\u00e3o boas op\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Tub\u00e9rculos e ra\u00edzes, como batata, inhame e mandioca, tamb\u00e9m podem ser inclu\u00eddos.
