Yaghi com o <bsp-link-enhancement><br \/>\n    <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itatiaia.com.br\/ciencia-e-tecnologia\/premio-nobel-de-quimica-vai-para-trio-que-desenvolveu-estruturas-metal-organicas\" title=\"&lt;b&gt;Pr\u00eamio Nobel de Qu\u00edmica pelo desenvolvimento de estruturas metal-org\u00e2nicas&lt;\/b&gt;\"><b>Pr\u00eamio Nobel de Qu\u00edmica pelo desenvolvimento de estruturas metal-org\u00e2nicas<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/bsp-link-enhancement>, uma \u201cnova forma de arquitetura molecular\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>As \u201cMetal-Organic Frameworks\u201d, tamb\u00e9m conhecidas como MOFs, t\u00eam grande potencial de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o, de acordo com Guilherme Ferreira de Lima, de 41 anos, professor do Departamento de Qu\u00edmica da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) e do Grupo de Pesquisa em Qu\u00edmica Inorg\u00e2nica Te\u00f3rica da universidade.<\/p>\n<p>Isso porque a principal caracter\u00edstica das MOFs \u00e9 a \u201cexist\u00eancia de vazios, verdadeiros buracos em suas estruturas que podem ser utilizados para diferentes aplica\u00e7\u00f5es\u201d. Essa \u00e9 uma mistura super dif\u00edcil de ser separada, mas tamb\u00e9m muito importante no processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o do etanol combust\u00edvel\u201d, explicou. O professor relatou, ainda, que essa aplica\u00e7\u00e3o das MOFs foi estudada por ele no doutorado, que fez parte de uma tese premiada pela UFMG e pela CAPES em 2013.<\/p>\n<h2>Por que s\u00e3o inovadoras?<\/h2>\n<p>As MOFs, segundo o professor, s\u00e3o constitu\u00eddas de uma parte inorg\u00e2nica, respons\u00e1vel principalmente pelo formato de buraco, quanto por uma parte org\u00e2nica, respons\u00e1vel pelo tamanho do buraco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoc\u00ea pode pensar em uma estrutura semelhante a um brinquedo de montar blocos. Voc\u00ea teria blocos vermelhos, que seria a parte inorg\u00e2nica e definiria o formato, e voc\u00ea teria blocos pretos, que seria parte org\u00e2nica, que ligaria v\u00e1rios blocos vermelhos. Isso abriu uma linha de desenvolvimento de materiais nova e hoje temos milhares de materiais, com tamanhos de poros cada vez maior\u201d, contou o professor.<\/p>\n<p>Com isso, de acordo com o pesquisador, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel ter materiais com uma \u00e1rea superficial dispon\u00edvel muito grande. \u201cTem materiais como a MOF-210 que tem uma \u00e1rea de aproximadamente 6000 m2\/g, o que \u00e9 maior que a \u00e1rea do gramado do Mineir\u00e3o, em uma grama\u201d, apontou.<\/p>\n<p><bsp-list-loadmore class=\"PageListStandardG\" data-module=\"\" data-show-loadmore=\"true\" data-list-title-size=\"3\" data-list-description-size=\"3\"><\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"AnchorLink\" title=\"leia-tambem\" name=\"leia-tambem\"\/><\/p>\n<p><\/bsp-list-loadmore><\/p>\n<h2>Desenvolvimento<\/h2>\n<p>As estruturas metal-org\u00e2nicas foram desenvolvidas no final dos anos 1990. A genialidade desse material foi no \u201csentido de que esses blocos deveriam ser constru\u00eddos no processo de s\u00edntese. Com isso, eles usavam fontes de metais com mol\u00e9culas org\u00e2nicas com capacidade de se ligarem aos metais em dois ou mais pontos\u201d, apontou Lima.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrata-se de um processo muito complexo, no in\u00edcio, pois as condi\u00e7\u00f5es do experimento devem ser muito controladas. Todo esse processo \u00e9 feito em solu\u00e7\u00e3o de forma que, ao terminar a produ\u00e7\u00e3o, o buraco &#8211; ou poro &#8211; fica cheio de mol\u00e9culas do solvente que precisa ser retirado para que esse buraco possa ser aplicado para algum fim\u201d, afirmou.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\" data-align-center=\"\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<div class=\"Quote\" style=\"visibility: hidden;\">\n<div class=\"Quote-content\">\n<blockquote><p>\u201cA grande novidade das MOFs \u00e9 que a estrutura se mant\u00e9m est\u00e1vel e n\u00e3o colapsa quando o solvente \u00e9 retirado\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Guilherme Ferreira de Lima, professor do Departamento de Qu\u00edmica da UFMG<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Aplica\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel<\/h2>\n<p>Al\u00e9m da separa\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua e do metanol, como dito anteriormente por Guilherme, as MOFs podem ser usadas como sensores de temperatura, carregadores de medicamentos dentro do corpo, armazenamento de gases, entre outras aplica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Esse \u00faltimo uso das MOFs pode ser aplicado no \u00e2mbito sustent\u00e1vel. \u201cUma das aplica\u00e7\u00f5es que mais se vislumbra para esses materiais \u00e9 a capacidade de captarem e armazenarem gases t\u00f3xicos como o CO2 (g\u00e1s carb\u00f4nico). Al\u00e9m disso, elas poderiam fazer parte do processo de transforma\u00e7\u00e3o do CO2 em mol\u00e9culas com aplica\u00e7\u00f5es interessantes.
